Another monoprint based on the landscape near Truro, a small town north of Adelaide South Australia.

I’m quite enjoying doodling around with the process and medium at present.

Here is a series of 3 monoprints based on sketching trip to the area around Truro in South Australia taken some time ago. All done with acrylic paint and/or printing ink. Individual image size is 8.5 x 15cms

Dave’s Hill

A recent attempt at colour etching. 2 plates 15cms x 5cms.

Te principle of art.

“The principle of art is to pause, not bypass”.

So why not pause at the ‘Relative Viewpoints’ exhibition to be held at Prospect Gallery, 1 Thomas street (corner Main North Road), Nailsworth from the 13th April to the 3rd  May 2015.

Paintings and prints by Pirie Martin and prints by John Martin.

Image above: John Martin. Detail – Bunyaroo Valley.  Bamboo pen, brush and brown ink on illustration board. 30cms wide x 10.5cms high

Seven weeks to go.

Another print finished. Seven weeks till the exhibition. So much to do.

Cardboard jigsaw and lino print. 12cms x 15cms.

Playing with some monoprints one of which hopefully will go into our upcoming exhibition. This is one possibility.

The exhibition is getting closer.

An exhibition of work by my son and I is getting closer. Exciting in one way, terrifying in another. Below are some of the prints and drawings of mine on the short list to be starters in the exhibition.

These are etchings and lino prints…

nd these are monoprints and drawings.

I’m really hoping I’m not going to embarras myself with all this. For anyone in Adelaide the exhibition will be at the Prospect Glalery from April 13th 2015.
